Arvie Malik, R.D.H., B.S.

Arvie Malik received her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene with a minor in General Science from Texas Woman’s University. She has over 23 years of clinical experience in both Periodontal and Prosthodontic practices in Texas and Califorinia.

Currently, Arvie practices full time in a private Prosthodontic practice in Newport Beach, California. In addition to being a periodontal therapist and an oral health educator, she facilitates in the role of patient treatment coordinator and educates patients in receiving multidisciplinary care and full mouth restorative care and maintenance. Furthermore, she is a doctor and patient liaison in refining patients esthetic desires for treatment outcomes.

In conjunction with private practice, Arvie has been teaching part time for over 15 years at West Los Angeles College in the department of Dental Hygiene. Her responsibilities include clinical instruction and teaching “Introduction to Dental Hygiene: a pre-clinic course” for incoming dental hygiene students. Additionally, she serves as a lecturer in the section of Periodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She also instructs hygienists’ in the use of magnification and other technological advances as a clinical instructor at the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute (NCOFI), a non-profit teaching facility. Formerly, she was a Clinical Educator Consultant for Dentsply Corporation providing educational seminars to dental and dental hygiene schools on the use of ultrasonics.

Arvie is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the California Dental Hygienists’ Association, the Orange County Dental Hygienists’ Society, the California Dental Educators’ Association and the American Dental Education Association.
